The ACT Brumbies have gone into half time leading 6-3 over the Durban Sharks in round 13 Super Rugby action at Canberra Stadium.
The three penalty goals that make up the total score reflect how scrappy the contest has been, with much dropped ball and wayward kicks working to the detriment of both sides.
Brumbies centre Christian Lealiifano has all of his sides points so far, while Durban's Frans Steyn has the only points for his men.
Twice Brumbies half Nic White failed to find touch with penalty kicks in the half, while one from Steyn went dead.
Adding to a horrible half for the Sharks' legend was a restart kick going out on the full as well.
The Brumbies began the otherwise error-riddle half in perfect fashion, with winger Joe Tomane making a break up the middle before attracting a penalty that lead to the first points.
Drizzly and cool weather has not helped either side, but there is little doubt both coaches will be after a more structured effort in the second stanza.
