The ACT Brumbies brutal win over the NSW Waratahs in round five last Saturday night had plenty of highlights. Here are the top five moments as decided by Fans Unite:
1. Jesses Mogg's 18th minute try.
The Brumbies fullback chippped and chased above and past Waratahs superstar Israel Folau and beat him to the goal line to score.
2. Israel Folau's 74th minute try.
While Folau had been shut down by Mogg and Brumbies winger Robbie Coleman throughout the game, Folau started mid-field in this effort and skipped past three defenders to score in the corner to bring the Tahs back into the match.
3. Matt Toomua's first half hit on Kurtley Beale.
They may be Wallabies teammates, but Brumbies flyhalf Matt Toomua showed no mercy in one particular hit on Tahs inside centre Beale. He stampeded in and lined hime up, flattening him on his back, which lead to a turnover on the next phase.
4. Nic White's 15th minute try.
Brumbies scrumhalf White has on fire in attack and defence all night, and tallied 18 points for the night. This particular effort though exposed a key vulnerability in the Tahs' defence- with their fierce attack their most highlighted aspect of the game before this moment.
5. Michael Cheika's frustration.
While the Tahs were far from disgraceful, their first big test and loss of the season di not fit Coach Cheika's ambitions. He smashed the glass dor in his coaches box and has since been fined for this reaction on the full time siren.
